Mr. Joe Jackson was the youngest son of Annie Mae Graham, my grandfather Mershell C. Graham’s sister. In his early youth he was known by Michele, but later changed to Joe. A thank you to my cousin Cedric Jenkins for sharing this program with me.

When I read the program, I noticed that Joe was interred in Jackson Cemetery. I wonder if it was a small family cemetery.
Yes, it is a family cemetery. Not sure what generation started it. His mother, Annie Mae Graham is also buried there. Her mother was also a Jackson.
How wonderful that you have this, and other, family funeral programs — and that this one includes Joe’s obituary. Cousins are invaluable for sharing these item and blogging is a great way to meet new ones. I look forward to reading what you write about family members lost in the 1918 influenza pandemic — such a sweeping event that nearly every family has a distant ancestor who succumbed.
I haven’t found anyone who succumbed aside from a nephew of a cousin’s wife.
