Awesome photo! Based on this photo and others you’ve posted, your family looks like it had lots of fun.
This guy isn’t a member of the family but my father and uncles were involved with a band and maybe he was a member.
On the other hand, maybe it’s cousin John Mullins.
I wonder what he was working on, a jazz tune, something bluesy.
I’m thinking jazz. Or whatever black people were playing and listening too in Detroit in the 1940s.
Oh you know I like this one. Very few early action shots of sax players. The dark glasses, the wide lapel suit, and the tilt of the head make it a great photo of the period.
