1. What are they doing, fishing, searching for gold?

   1. That’s what I wondered. I think they are searching for gold. My husband thinks they are fishing.

2. Great picture..very evocative, but I want to know more too.

   1. All I know is that my father’s family use to go visit his father’s brother and his family is Athens every year. They talked about the wonderful hospitality and the mountains. They were most likely fishing. I never heard of any gold rush in Athens, Tennessee.
