This is my tenth A to Z Challenge. My first was in 2013, but I missed 2021. This April I am going through the alphabet using snippets about my family through the generations.
In 2015 our family celebrated the New Year on Jekyll Island. Above three of us are doing qigong on the beach. I was overjoyed to find a new “Q”. These days my husband and I do 15 minutes of qigong before bed. Keeping it moving.
Terrific! Both keeping it moving and finding a new “Q”. And that you both do it daily, and not just in that idyllic beach setting.
I must admit we did fall off sometimes, but we start back up without waiting for a beach.
I see old Chinese ladies doing qigong/tai chi in the park near my house every morning. There’s something to be said for it, they say limber and active well into their later years!
We’re in our later years and hoping to be able to stay on our feet without toppling over. Seems to help our balance.
I have some Qi Gong fior breathing, if I would just do it every day. Glad to see you all on the beach doing it. I do it before I do a walk, since it also stretches my upper body!
It would help us more if we were more consistent. We go along fine and then, for no known reason slack off.
Well, “Qigong” certainly attracted my attention, as a completely new word for me. It must take the honours of originality for the often trick Q letter.
Thank you!
Great choice for your Q entry, and kudos to you and your husband for keeping up your practice.
We do our best to keep up with it.
I hope you didn’t take up qigong just to adopt a new Q word! ;D
Alphabet of Alphabets: Quadrupeds
I didn’t, but we did become more regular in our practice again recently.
