I have laid out my April A – Z Challenge posts using a calendar. My over all theme will be, as usual, my family history. I have a mix of Individuals who I will profile, names and careers that I will trace through the family, a family mystery and my kindergarten career. On Sundays I will do the Sepia Saturday challenge a day late.
Although I have my month planned out, I have not written any of the posts ahead of time. I may get a few done but probably I will be writing and posting as I go along. Of course I will visit other blogs to see the different ways the challenge is handled.
Mina Lobo @ Some Dark Romantic and David Macaulay @ Brits in the USA are co-hosting this blog hop to introduce the themes we will be using for the A – Z Challenge in April.
Sounds like a great idea! I hope you get the posts ready in time! All the best!
Me too. I did daily posting in February and kept up. Of course I did nothing else all month.
Great way to honor yor family! a lovely theme!
Such a fast comment!
the anna reed pic looks just like gammie when she was little!
Jan, it is Gladys! I have no photo of Anna Reed but heard that when she was growing up, grandfather said that your mother looked just like her, so…
This sounds amazing. I love historic people.
I love this idea.
Fascinating subject. Can’t wait to read more.

Thank you! Wish I could have found photographs for the few blank ones.
I love your theme! I’m a genealogy buff myself, though I’m not sure I’d be able to come up with an ancestor or relative for every letter of the alphabet.
I probably could, except for X, but I’m doing some other family history related posts that don’t involve individual names, too.
It looks like it will be a buy but fun month! I’m looking forward to reading. Love the calendar plus pics.
I’m hoping it will be as good as the February Photo Collage was, both to do and in cousins found!
Awesome theme.
That’s a lovely way to pay tribute to those who came before you. I’m in similar shoes: I’ve picked something for every letter but have yet to get writing! 🙂
Starting writing the first one 😉
Interesting topic you have chosen.
I look forward to reading your posts Kristin
I do like (and admire) your approach. The great delight of blogging is that you can use challenges and memes as a framework for pursuing your own interests. I always enjoy your posts and with your writing YOUR family becomes our family. I look forward to what is to come in April.
That’s just the way I use them and I’ve found that the meme’s give me a chance to explore bits of family history or my own history, that I might not have thought of doing otherwise. That’s why I enjoy Sepia Saturday so much.
How awesome!
This looks fun! Have a good time with it and I look forward to reading your posts.
Love the planner & thumbnails Kristin. It will be another busy month.
