  1. My father was also born in August 1946 so it is nice to see what else happened during that time period. I didn’t know that Booker T Washington was on the half dollar. I learned something new today.

    1. I didn’t either. I wonder if they issue special half dollars for a limited period of time and then retire them. I have never seen one.
